farewell … the end is always

the beginning

farewell … the sun has

spent it’s essence

settled down to sleep

well beyond the horizon

farewell … to the bright, bright days beside

the chop and rasp, just off the shore

farewell … to the simple delights

the ice-cream cones

the cotton against skin

farewell … and never shall we embrace again

cheek touches cheek

hand clasps hand only

to part for an eternity and more

BUT … our Love is now written

in the eyes of so many, at the shore

by Donaghadee lighthouse, round

manys a smooth gravestone at Old Rashee

AND … though we are parted

we are together in our loss

only now can we fathom

the depth of our Love
